Leadership in Running Fitness

Well had to have a few days off as absolutely tons of marking to do, I still have bucket loads left but I was going nuts without running.

On Friday night I went down to Sorelimbs parent's house in South Wales ready to nip down to Cardiff in the morning for a course. It was the Leadership in Running Fitness run by Welsh Athletics and held at Cardiff International Athletics Stadium. Had a really good day learning about leading a runners group and more about different types of runs, the tutors were brilliant and met some lovely people from Sooooooooouth Wales (and one annoying one!). Once I get my CRB check done I get a license from UK Athletics so I can lead my own group, I'm planning on starting a beginners group at work.

Had a good day today dragging Mum around Cheshire Oaks whilst I purchased quite a few clothes and had a nice lunch at Bella Italia courtesey of Mr T's.

This evening it was still quite warm and perfect for a get off your bum and go running session so went off for a 3 miler, I have 14 weeks until we're doing a 1/2 marathon so need to be building the mileage up a bit.

3.02 miles 27:53 (9:14/mile)

Oooh, I like the new-look blog! That course sounds interesting, so you're a coach now then? Cardiff is great isn't it? Did you walk along the bay and the barrage area?

I'm doing a lot of sport and fitness courses because of my new role at work, next it's the Gym Instructors course.

No time to see Cardiff this time as the course was 9-5 then straight back home by 10pm.

Looking forward to leading my own group of beginners!
