Itchy feet

Howdy long time no see!

So what's been happening with me?

Well......

It was half term last week and I actually had a week off work, as I'm teaching now I can only take annual leave when the students are off but that's only until Christmas as then I only have to see them for their workplacements. So I went out for a run on the Monday to do intervals and warm up and warm down, I won't bore you with the stats. Tuesday I did 10km with 10 X 100m strides and on Wedsnesday I did a snippet over 3 miles.

On Thursday sorelimbs was getting ready for his 2 weeks away with the TA so no runs since then as he left on Friday afternoon and won't get back until 14th November.

On Wednesday we took Amelia to Chester for the day, it's her birthday this Sunday so we wanted to treat her for a change. Whilst we were there, I wanted to get some new trainers as my old ones are starting to fall to bits and I was getting blisters from them. We went to the triathlon shop Triactive http://www.tri-active.co.uk/ and was really impressed with the service, I got on the treadmill so the guy could check my gait and tried on quite a few pairs of trainers before I eventually settled on some Brooks. I would recommend this store if you're in the Chester area. I wore the trainers on Wednesday and they were sooooo comfy!

So sorelimbs is away, no running then but we received our family Christmas present, a wiifit. So far I like it it has a range of excercises from yoga, muscle, balance and cardio - some of the excercises are fun games like the hula hoop and the yoga shows you the proper movements. I did this on Sunday and Monday along with additional sit-ups and leg and arm toning and can certainly feel that I've been working. I didn't manage to do anything Tuesday and Wednesday as Tom has been unwell with an ear infection.

The next race planned is the Wrexham 10KM (Helena Tipping) on December 6th, we're out to a party on 5th December at the TA centre but I won't be drinking!

So roll on next Sunday when I can get back into training!
