4 miles and a great big hill

So as I mentioned hills are going to become my best friend, todays run was 4 miles with the last mile uphill to the top of the town and then a short run down back home. I felt absolutely fine running, maybe a bit heavy in the legs, so why did it feel slow and needed more effort? Well probably because I need to put in more effort.

tues 22/9 4.25 miles with hills 44:21 (10:25/mile)

Tomorrow is a rest day as going out with the family to the TA social night, so no time between getting home and going out to have a run.

Hill work

Some much needed work on the hills this evening, I went up the top houses to aroad I haven't been up for a while and did the run up to the top. Now, I thought my hills would be fine with all the running I do which includes hills everyday but ommfg they were hard work.

I managed four reps of the long hill before I had to return home, definitely need to incorporate Phil's mega hill in my runs otherwise Pen-y-Pass is going to be a grueler!

Feeling tired but OK, no injuries and just looking forward to the next few weeks of training.

3 miles recovery

This evening after Sorelimbs got back from his exploits in the field I went out for a little run, he scheduled me to do a 2 mile recovery run but I felt really good and wanted to stretch my legs so did 3 miles in 29:54 not half bad considering the long run on Friday.

SL has finished his training for a while so 5 weeks of hard work to come, getting very nervous about the marathon just need to stick to my plan and all will be well.

Apart from the nerves how am I going to stop myself getting emotional at the start and hopefully the end?!?!?!??!?!

18 miles - on track!

I went out for my long run today, was veeeeeerrrrrrrry slow but managed to do 18 miles so very pleased with that. Hubby is away with TA but it's the last weekend so can plan my runs better for the next 5 weeks. He won't be going away until after the mara, for 2 week block so obviously I'll still be resting from the run .

We're going to run together next weekend just need to get my folks to have the kids for the afternoon, going for some serious hill work up the Great Orme.

Fri 18/9 18 miles 3:29:50 (11:42/mile)

Don't forget to sponsor me!

Went out for 5 miles yesterday and today so hope to put in a good week this week.
